Rumor has is it, the Cotton Exchange on the corner of Sixth and Trinity was once a brothel shortly after it was erected in 1874. And “Nadine” was no other than the main ‘Madame’. It just so happens the Arc Angels, a blues rock back formed in Austin in the late 1990s, wrote their hit song, “Paradise Cafe” while dining at the Paradise Cafe and Bar when their hit song, “Sweet Nadine” was also released.
So, come on by and see how history and music combine to make The Paradise Cafe a local favorite bar and music venue located on historic Sixth Street in downtown Austin, Texas.
